What we process and why

Data When Purpose Retention
IP address Every request Deliver the page; answer /api/ip; rate-limit abuse Not written to application logs. Rate-limit counters use salted hashes held in memory for up to 10 minutes.
IP-derived location, ASN IP and DNS tools Show results to you Not stored
DNS resolver addresses DNS leak test Show which resolvers queried our server for your random token In memory, deleted after 10 minutes
Passwords Generator / strength checker Processed only in your browser Never transmitted
Files Hash tools Processed only in your browser Never uploaded
Theme preference When you toggle dark/light Remember your choice Stored in your browser’s localStorage until you clear it

Web server and CDN providers may keep short-term technical logs. [Describe hosting/CDN provider and their log retention once chosen.]

Cookies

We set no cookies for tracking or advertising. The only stored item is the theme preference in localStorage, which never leaves your device. If we later add privacy-preserving analytics, we’ll update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.

Third parties

  • WebRTC test: your browser contacts a public STUN server (stun.cloudflare.com) to discover its public address. Cloudflare sees that request.
  • IP geolocation: performed locally with DB-IP Lite databases. No third-party lookup API.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of personal data. Because we don’t keep personal data about visitors in our application, most requests can be answered quickly. Contact us using the details above.
